3 Reasons Why Happy Hour Should Last Until 8pm
Do you love happy hour? Does it ever last long enough? What if the happy hour gods granted one more hour? One more precious hour to crush 2-for-1 bottles…Instead, they slam down the flood gates by 7pm. Do you think happy hour should last until 8pm? We sure do!
UrbanBacon realizes we cannot change the world, but we can go down with a fight! Let’s discuss 3 reasons why happy hour should last until 8pm:
1. 1 More Hour = More Beer…It’s Science
The Math:
If you drank at a constant rate of 2Beers/hr from 5:30-7:00 (1.5 hrs)
2 x 1.5hrs = 3 beers
CAN YOU IMAGE THE POSSIBILITIES OF ONE MORE HOUR?
2 x 2.5hrs = 5 beers
Go back to Kindergarten: Would you rather have 3 apples or 5 apples? We arrest our case.
2. Frozen Pizza Domination
Say you leave by 8pm, 5 beers deep, and no dinner. That frozen pizza starts sounding kick-you-in-the-face AWESOME! We suggest stopping by Taco Bell as an appetizer.
CAUTION: Do not pass out on a frozen pizza. It happens. Waking up to a charcoal brick that once resembled supreme deliciousness isn’t pretty. Fire trucks, smoke inhalation, and new furniture can also prove costly.
3. Perfect Ending to the Work Day
Late Happy Hour = Early Bed Time
After dominating frozen pizza, you’re going to be exhausted. It’s close to 10pm + work = early. Sleep it off and wake up on the good foot!
Studies have shown that drinking a small amount of alcohol before bed will affect sleep. You fall asleep faster, but once the booze wears off, you find yourself tossing and turning throughout the night.
SOLUTION: You MUST drink enough so it won’t wear off until morning. Therefore, that extra hour of drinking will ensure a great night sleep. Are we genius or what?
It is our personal goal to extend every happy hour, in every city, for one extra hour. How are we going to do this you ask? That is a good flipping question…

haha this is great! But seriously… longer happy hours are a must! Most places only got til 6pm! Really? 6pm? I work until 5:30 or 6, so IF I even get there on time, I only get one cheap drink before paying the big bucks for a beer. It blows.
And I know bars probably don’t want to run the rick of cheap drinks for so long, but I can promise you, I would be out drinking after work a lot more often if loner happy hours existed! (instead of going home and having a beer in front of my TV. Lame).
